Learning/Teaching Modules for Global Sustainable Engineering Education
Bewilligung: 07.09.2004 Laufzeit: 2 Jahre
The testbed of the joint Global Product Development (GPD) education effort at Seoul National University (SNU), Korea, University of Michigan (UoM), Ann Arbor, USA, and Technical University Berlin (TUB), Germany, shall be exploited to generate case applicable generic learning/teaching modules on modular product/component design and manufacturing for multiple usage phases. During the proposed project, GPD shall be improved to a Good Practice example. Improvement shall be achieved by developing a learning/teaching kit. Modules of the kit are for gaining methodological, knowledge, social, personal, decision-making and responsibility competencies in the context of innovative engineering education. It is envisaged to finance the course activities by external partners from industry and institutions at the end of the project. The outcome of the proposed project shall give positive impulses for modern engineering education not only at TUB. The developed learning/teaching modules shall be provided by means of a knowledge platform accessible for students and teaching staffs.
